Cedars Wood camp set up at Manchester Airport
A protest camp has now been set up at Cedars Wood after Manchester Airport
PLC started felling trees. The airport authorities wanted to chop down the
wood because those blasted trees will get in the way of the radar for the
new runway. Permission was given by the owners, National Trust, who are,
once again, breaking their own rules.
The protesters are expecting eviction soon, despite the fact that the House
of Lords have still to decide on the woods future.
