RADSTOCK RAILWAY (Bath)
The campaign at Radstock Railway continues. A camp has been set up in an
area in which Bath and North Somerset Council are planning to build
housing, shops and industrial units. The development would destroy a
Site of Nature Conservation Importance. Proposals have also been put
forward to reopen a railway line on what the campaigners now believe to be
common land - its former owner, the National Coal Board, having closed the
line a while ago.
Lack of campers has been a disappointment recently.
