request for help re Westbury Bypass (Wiltshire)
Westbury town council and Wilts county council have just agreed an eastern bypass for Westbury. The maps in the papers (Wiltshire Times) are very unclear. The council have agreed a route which runs under Bratton White Horse and will only remove a few lorries. The councils around West Wilts are gradually building lots of little bits which will one day be magically join up. This is a large project in Westbury.
how do i find out about SSSIs etc?
Bratton is an iron age fort - we have some very ancient woods etc. There is no culture of protest in this area apart from an anti-tyreburning group. Blue Circle dominate the landscape and the bypass will be more in their interest than the town's.
