Subject: [act-locally] BIG BLOCKADE (and lost video)
Faslane blockade - 12th February 2001
WHERE?
Faslane nuclear submarine (Trident) base, Scotland
WHEN?
Monday 12th February 2001, 7am
FOR?
The Big Blockade (mass blockade of the base)
WITH?
MSPs, MPs, MEPs from 4 political parties;
and 27 church ministers, ready to risk arrest;
and up to 1,000 (or more) people from around Britain and Europe
WHY?
Because deployment of Trident is illegal under international law, a terrible waste of resources, and immoral by any humanitarian standards
KEY DATES:
Saturday 20 January, 2-5pm non-violence training workshop
Sunday 11 February, 8-11pm ditto (if you can't come on 20/1)
Monday 12 February 7am blockade (coach from N/stle)

PS Has anyone got the copy of last year's Faslane blockade video (14/2/2000, "Crimebusters" blockade, Trident Ploughshares)? Could you please check and get back to me asap if you have it. (I lent it to someone in N/stle last February/March, but not sure who.)
