Edith Rushworth / Edith Elliott (1875-1949)English artist, born Edith Rushworth to Joseph and Rebecca Rushworth on 16th Dec 1875 at Kippax (North Yorks). Married William Elliott on 20th Jun 1922 at Parish Church of All Saints, Leeds. Lived in Swaithe Hall, Worsbrough Dale (South Yorks), Guernsey, and Paignton (Devon). Died on 14th March 1949 at Royston (South Yorks). Painter of landscapes and still lifes, using watercolour and oils. As 'Edith Rushworth' she exhibited at the City Art Gallery (Leeds) in 1906 and the Royal Cambrian Academy (Wales). As 'Edith Elliott' she exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1932, 1938 & 1939.
